It's hard to find time to blog... or energy, perhaps. It's been a whirlwind of a last couple weeks--end-of-semester crazies including (this is my brief way of filling you in on what's been going on, without going into detail, so that I can go to bed shortly): the host family/student goodbye party, a cookout, piñata-bashing, debriefing, five days of 3am, 4am, 6am, etc. early-morning airport runs, getting chickens in our new oxcart-Trojan horse-styled chicken coop, prepping to receive incoming summer groups, welcoming the Azusa Pacific group (6 students + prof), planning orientation, executing orientation, and now working on getting them settled into classes, internships, and preparing things for them to head out with host families this Friday.

| Despedida with all our students and host fams. |

The night before the Despedida at 1am: the fire truck and bomberos (firemen) had to come to check out a gas leak. Sure didn't get my beauty rest that night. |
| Cookout in our new fire pit. |

| We Assistants with our Katie. |
| Piñata. Yeah, I broke the stick. |
Rainy day = slip 'n' slide. (of course Feijão wanted in on the action as well) |
Presenting, the new oxcart-chicken coop (think Trojan horse style) |
| The girls are right at home! (And now laying!) |
Gotta find time for the wholesome good stuff: berry picking with the staff, learning about the fruits that are on our CRC campus! |
Would ya look at what the dog dragged in?! (Yup, that's a cow hoof!) |
Fería Verde in San José on Saturday morning. Lovely! (WHY have we not been going every week for the last two years?!) |

Crazy night on the way back from picking up the Azusa folk from the airport... Heredianos ganaron (Heredia won)... thus partying in the streets It took me an hour and a half to get through all the traffic. |
Oh, and doing all that with severe allergies (pollens are high, as well as mold, further aggravating my continually-strained respiratory system, and instigating a myriad of nasty reactions)... that have now morphed into a full-blown cold. So I've spent all day in bed with my nasty, snot-filled self, sneezing. And watching half of the Twilight saga, as well as a couple other documentaries, listening to music, and sewing fun pants (in a variety of creatively-inspired "party" styles... to add to my collection of Hammer pants, Aladdin pants, bat-wing pants, fat-pants, wrap-around pants, comfy pants, and tie pants).
Lindy and Dinorah left for Whitworth North on Wednesday, for graduation, among other events and travels. And we Assistants are here running the CRC on our own until June 5, when Lindy returns. Receiving groups, carrying out plans, and solving tortas. Prayer support appreciated.
Even though it's been a down day, sick in bed, it's time for me to hit the pillow again and try to give my bod some more rest to recuperate! Only just less than two months left for my time here at the CRC. Makin' them count with all this work that's been going on!
